REAL METARHIZIUM 78 is a contact biopesticide that does not need to be ingested for effective action. Once the REAL METARHIZIUM 78 spores come into contact with the cuticle of the target pest, they germinate, secreting enzymes which are specific in their ability to weaken the insect cuticle. This action then allows the fungus to penetrate the insect cuticle and feed on the insect’s internal organs, ultimately killing the pest. Insect death occurs between 3-5 days in small insects and 5-7 days in larger insects, dependent on the fungal load, temperature and pest life stage.

REAL METARHIZIUM 78 is a contact biopesticide and curative foliar spray to help control spider mites on all crops and African bollworm on berries and other small fruit.
REAL METARHIZIUM 78 has no maximum residue limit (MRL) or preharvest interval (PHI) and can therefore be applied till the day of harvest. REAL METARHIZIUM 78 does not affect pest predators or other beneficial insects, and is able to achieve pest control while allowing the incidence of predation to escalate. When pest pressure is high, REAL METARHIZIUM 78 can be applied in combination with predators (beneficial insects) or other compatible insecticides.
