Cryptolaemus montrouzieri
Real CryptoFIX (Cryptolaemus montrouzieri) are predatory ladybird beetle for the control of mealybugs and soft scale insects. Adult beetles and larvae feed on mealybug eggs and young stages. Large Real CryptoFIX larvae feed on adult mealybug and look similar to their prey and are easily confused.
Effective against:
- Vine Mealybug (Planococcus ficus)
- Citrus mealybug (Planococcus citri)
- Long-tailed mealybug (Pseudococcus longispinus)
- Oleander mealybug (Paracoccus burnerae)
- Citrophilous mealybug (Pseudococcus calceolariae)
- Obscure mealybug (Pseudococcus viburni)
- Black scale (Saissetia oleae)
- Pulvinaria scale(Pulvinaria regalis)
- Cottony cushion scale (Icerya purchasi)
Real CryptoFIX:
- Feed on all stages of mealybug and soft scales
- They consume 30-70 prey per day
- Adult beetles are strong fliers, capable of searching for target pests
- Larvae are ideal for rapid treatment of pest hotspots.
Real CryptoFIX can also be used effectively to clean up mealybug hotspots.
Real CryptoFIX can be used in a range of crops and environments. They work well in field crops, orchards and glasshouses. They are active at temperatures of 16-33°C but perform best around 25-28°C.
