Coccidoxenoides perminutus
About
Real PermiFIX (Coccidoxenoides perminutus) are extremely effective parasites of Citrus & Vine mealybug and provide control of both low- & high-density infestations. Real PermiFIX are black in colour with noticeable translucent wings, long antennae & are approximately 2mm in length. It is important to determine the type of mealybug present before considering the use of Real PermiFIX since the parasite is not very effective against species other than Citrus & Vine mealybug.

- Citrus mealybug (Planococcus citri)
- Citrophilous mealybug (Pseudococcus calceolariae)

Application
Real PermiFIX are best introduced in spring/early summer, when the first mealybug eggs and crawlers are seen in the field. Preventative measures are far more effective than curative control of mealybug.
Compatibility
Real PermiFIX is most effective at temperatures between 17-32°C.
Storage
Seek advice from a RealIPM Technical Consultant before introduction. Manage your spray program by looking at the Sensitivity and Compatibility charts.
